Tier is a fee paid by everyone who owns land in Second Life. It is meant to cover the costs for the server that the sim is hosted on, the bandwidth, the maintenance, etc. You pay the tier to us and we pay it to Linden Lab, so you don’t need a premium account to own land with us.

The tier is paid on or before the due date and minimum payment is 4 weeks. The amount you pay depends mostly on the number of prims that a plot can hold.
